On the air

There’s a politician

Crying for revenge.

In the news

You see death and destruction

For religion and politics.

Violence in the streets,

Hate in the hearts,

Blindness rules the world.

Ideology is no justification

For murder, war and supression;

Religion is no reason

For the damnation of sinners.

Our world is an enigma

And our race is a problem;

We often can’t fight

The hate in our hearts;

We often don’t understand

What love is all about.

So many things that matter,

So many facts are real:

Powers rule our world,

Powers rule our brains;

Minds can’t grasp

The power within us.

Only fools follow the illusion

That strength is everything;

Wiser men know well

That feeling is more than reason.
