Cwmyoy, the subsided church —

Crooked like the life of man.

A tilted tower —

Like our reason

Leans more heavily to one side,

God or bad or dumb.

The two faces at the window,

Woman and man —

Are they sculptures of Celtic people —

Real in life, as goodness and vice —

Or some likeness of prodigies of man,

Angels or saints in the realm of heaven?
